Phase IV Weekly Summary No. 36 Page 2 003-2203 <br />loaded several 777 haul trucks. The material was then hauled to the Arequa Gulch fill area. SF <br />materials were placed in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding 2 foot in loose thickness. A <br />Caterpillaz CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a Caterpillar water wagon provided <br />moisture conditioning when needed or required. <br />Ames loaded out selected rip-rap material from blasted rock shot areas near UG-445 and UG-446 by <br />use of a Cat 375 track-hoe and several Cat 777 haul trucks. The material was hauled to the Ames <br />crusher azea for further processing. <br />Ames performed confirmation drilling activities on Friday in the southern portion of the Phase IVa <br />azea, on underground workings UG-412 and UG-456. <br />Ames performed remediation excavation and backfilling activities associated with underground <br />workings UG-454 and UG-455. No workings were encountered during excavation. A Caterpillar <br />330B track-hoe placed SF material into the excavation into loose liRs not exceeding 2 feet in loose <br />thickness, and a Caterpillaz 563 roller compacted each lift a minimum of 4 passes. Remediation of <br />the workings was completed when the excavations were brought back to grade. <br />Ames performed blast-drilling activities on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during this reporting <br />period, in the central and southern portion of the Phase IVa azea. Blasting occurred Wednesday, <br />Thursday, and Friday during this reporting period. <br />Phase IVb <br />• Ames did not perform any construction related activities associated with the Phase IVb construction <br />area during this reporting period. <br />Ames performed confirmation drilling activities on Monday in the northern portion of the Phase IVb <br />azea, at the Commonwealth Portal. No workings were encountered during drilling and the <br />Commonwealth Portal Remediation is complete to date. <br />Phase IVc <br />Ames did not perform any drilling activities associated with the Phase Nc construction area. <br />Ames did not perform any cut or fill activities within the Phase IVc areas during this reporting <br />period. <br />(See Attachment A for approximate construction locations for all Phase IV azeas.) <br />Field Monitoring and Testin¢ Activities <br />Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase N earthworks. All construction <br />materials and soil materials were verified as suitable and construction methods were in accordance <br />with project specifications.
