(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase Na, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />October 7`s through October 13`s, 2001. <br />The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />• ranged from 21° F to 38° F, and highs ranging from 47° F to 62° F. Light snow flumes were recorded <br />on October 12`s. Weather observations were made on six days of this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase Na, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on five days of <br />this seven-day reporting period (October 8a' through October 12w). <br />PhaseIVa <br />Ames continued Structural Fill cut and fill activities in the central portion of the Phase Na footprint, <br />above the previously constructed secondary underdrain. Caterpillar D10 dozers and a Caterpillar D8 <br />dozer removed material from cut areas to the south and placed SF materials north over the existing <br />underdrain into loose lifts not exceeding 2 feet in thickness. A Caterpillaz CS563C roller provided <br />compactive effort, while a Mack or a Caterpillar water wagon provided moisture conditioning when <br />needed or required. <br />Ames continued SF placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of the Phase IVa <br />footprint, in the Arequa Gulch area.
