Phase IV Weekly Summary No. 35 Page 3 003-2203
Field Monitoring and Testing Activities
• Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IV earthworks. All construction
materials and soil materials were verified as suitable and construction methods were in accordance
with project specifications. Removal of oversized and deleterious material from all fill areas was
observed.
Golder observed the Phase Na secondary underdrain construction for correct dimensioning as per
specifications of four foot in width and two foot in depth to accommodate materials. Twelve-ounce
geotxtile, was installed before (3 weeks ago) the installation of 12-inch minus underdrain fill. The
geotextile was then wrapped over the anderdrain fill as six inches of three-inch maximum-sized SSF
material was installed over the geotextile. The remaining construction of the underdrain measured
approximately 150 feet in length, commencing at Highway 67 and following the natural topography
to the tie in with the existing underdrain previously constructed. The tie-in between the proposed
primary underdrain and the aforementioned secondary underdrain will be constructed at a later date.
Laboratory Test Results
One sample of Structural Fill (SFa-07) was collected and transported to the Golder field trailer for
index testing analysis. Test results for Sfa-07 met project specifications and is reported in
Attachment C.
Meetines
CC&V held a Weekly Contractor meeting on October 2"d. Items discussed include Safety,
• Environmental, Schedule, and CQA. The next weekly meeting will be held on October 10`h, 2001 at
10:00 AM.
Golder Personnel On-Site
A summary of all Golder CQA personnel on site during this reporting period is presented in
Attachment B.
Sincerely,
Bob Nichols
Resident CQA Monitor
rnu~rv.ss s~uo-oaos.m~ Golder Associates lnc.
