(Golder) is pleased to subnut this weekly summary of Phase IVa, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />September 30a' through October 6`", 2001. <br />The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />ranged from 28° F to 57° F, and highs ranging from 61 ° F to 84° F. Light rain was recorded on October <br />5a'. Weather observations were made on six days of this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on five days of <br />this seven-day reporting period (October 1~` through October 5`"). <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames continued small cut to fill activities along the southern limits of the Phase IVa azea, in <br />constructing the southern access road, south of the proposed edge of liner, east of the ADR. Ames <br />used one Caterpillaz D8 and D7 to perform cut and fill east of the ADR along with stockpiling <br />activities. SF materials were placed in the access road area in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding <br />1 foot in loose thickness. A Caterpillar CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a <br />Caterpillaz water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required. <br />Ames performed Structural Fill (SF) cut and fill activities in the central portion of the Phase IVa <br />footprint, above the newly constructed secondary underdrain.
