Phase IV Weekly Summary No. 34 Page 2 003-2203 <br />material to a stockpile where a Caterpillaz 375 track hoe loaded several 777 haul trucks. The <br />material was then hauled to the Arequa Gulch fill azea. <br />• Ames performed SF placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of the Phase Na <br />footprint, in the Arequa gulch azea. Caterpillaz 777 haul trucks brought SF material from the cut <br />azea (mentioned above), while a Caterpillaz D8 placed and spread the material into loose lifts not <br />exceeding 2 feet in thickness. Oversize material within the fill was removed by the dozer and placed <br />in the uncontrolled areas located northeast of the fill. A Caterpillar CS563C roller provided <br />compactive effort, while a Caterpillar water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or <br />required. <br />Ames performed blast drilling activities on Friday, September 28`s, and Saturday, September 29~', in <br />the central portion of the Phase IVa azea. No blasting occurred during this reporting period. <br />Rhase IVb <br />Ames continued and completed placement of Drain Cover Fill (DCF) by September 25`s within the <br />limits of the LOB construction azea. DCF was hauled to the LOB azea by use of Caterpillar 777 haul <br />trucks and placed with a CAT D6M. <br />Ames began and completed placement and compaction of SF ramps in the area of the LOB. <br />Material was hauled by use of several Caterpillar 777 trucks, placed and spread by a Caterpillaz D8 <br />dozer and compacted in lifts not exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness by a Caterpillar CS563 roller. <br />• Ames began placement of Compacted Ore Fill (COF) within the limits of the LOB construction area. <br />The material was brought in by Caterpillar 777 haul trucks, spread by Caterpillar D7 and D8 dozers <br />into loose lifts approximately 1 foot in thickness, and compacted by a Caterpillar CS563 roller <br />(Minimum of 8 passes). A Caterpillar water wagon provided moisture conditioning of the material <br />when needed. <br />Ames began and completed confirmation drilling of UG-238 and UG-251 within the limits of the <br />Phase IVb construction area. No workings were located. <br />Phase IVc <br />Ames continued and completed confirmation drilling at UG-242. No workings were located. <br />Ames did not perform any cut or fill activities within the Phase IVc azeas during this reporting <br />period. <br />(See Attachment A for approximate construction locations for all Phase IV azeas.) <br />Field Monitorins and Testing Activities <br />Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IV earthworks.
