(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase Na, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />September 23rd through September 29d', 2001. <br />The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />• ranged from 33° F to 48° F, and highs ranging from 68° F to 77° F. Precipitation was recorded on <br />Saturday, September 29, in the form of rain and snow during this reporting period. Weather <br />observations were made on six days of this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synonsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for~the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase Na, b, and c construction activities on six days of this <br />seven-day reporting period (September 24d' through September 29`h) <br />Phase Na <br />Ames performed small cut to fill activities along the southern limits of the Phase IVa area, in <br />constructing the southem access road, south of the proposed edge of liner. Ames used one <br />Caterpillar D8 and D7 to perform cut and fill east of the ADR along with stockpiling activities. SF <br />materials were placed in the access road area in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding 1 foot in <br />loose thickness. A Catetpillaz CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a Caterpillaz water <br />wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required. <br />Ames performed Structural Fill (SF) cut activities in the central portion of the Phase IVa footprint, <br />above the newly constructed secondary underdrain.
