(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase IVa, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />September 9~' through September 15~', 2001. <br />The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />ranged from 24° F to 47° F, with highs ranging from 66° F to 77° F. No rain was recorded during this <br />reporting period. Weather observations were made on six days during this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase Na, b, and c construction activities on six days of this <br />seven-day reporting period (September 10`" through September 15c'). <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames completed construction of the secondary underdrain in the central portion of the Phase IV <br />area. Equipment used consisted of a Caterpillaz 330E excavator, a Caterpillaz D-8 dozer, and a <br />Caterpillar 966 loader. Several laborers completed clean out of the excavated trench, placed <br />geotextile, lapped the geotextile azound the underdrain fill (iJF), and spread Select Structural Fill <br />(SSF) above the underdrain. A Caterpillar 966 loader placed the OF and SSF materials prior to <br />manipulation by the laborers. <br />Ames performed SF construction activities in the central portion of the Phase IV a footprint, above <br />the newly constructed secondary underdrain. Three Caterpillar D 10's, two Caterpillaz D8's, and a <br />Caterpillar D7 worked a local borrow of SF to the north, cut to fill construction.
