(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase IVa, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA} services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />September 2"d through September 8a', 2001. <br />The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />ranged from 29° F to 52° F, with highs ranging from 61° F to 76° F. Rain was recorded on September <br />5`", 6a', and 8'" with snow/hail also being recorded on September 8a'. Weather observations were made <br />on five days during this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on five days of <br />this seven-day reporting period (September 4`~' through September 8's). <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames began construction of the secondary underdrain in the central portion of the Phase IV azea. <br />Equipment used consisted of a Caterpillar 330B excavator and a Caterpillar D-8 dozer. Several <br />Iaborers cleaned out the excavated trench in prepazation for geotextile placement. <br />Ames placed and compacted Structural Fill in Arequa Gulch adjacent to the main haul road. Two <br />Caterpillaz 777 haul trucks transported material from the borrow source located neaz the new LOB <br />pad location. A Caterpillar D-10 dozer spread the material into loose lifts approximately one foot in <br />depth.
