(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase IVa, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />August 26`~ through September 151, 2001. <br />• The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />ranged from 43° F to 49° F, with highs ranging from 65° F to 80° F. Rain was recorded on August 28`", <br />29"', and 30'". Weather observations were made on the five days worked of this seven-day reporting <br />period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on five days of <br />this seven-day reporting period (August 27s' through August 31st). <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames continued Structural Fill placement and compaction efforts in the Upper Arequa Gulch azea <br />(between Run of Mine haul road and Bull Hill). Materials were loaded by a Caterpillaz 375 track- <br />hoe and a Caterpillaz 9921oader into 777 haul trucks from a blast clearing and bonow azea east of <br />Highway 67 and west of the Phase IVa limits. Structural Fill (SF) material was then offloaded and <br />spread by a D10 dozer into lifts not exceeding 3 feet in thickness. Structural Fill gradation varied at <br />times and the lift thickness ranged between 1.5 and 3 feet in thickness accordingly. Ames removed <br />deleterious and oversized material from the fill azea.
