Phase IV Weekly Summary No. 29 Page 3
003-2203
specifications. No nuclear moisture density tests were performed on the Phase Nb LOB azea during
this reporting period, as material was un-testable per ASTM D698. No moisture/density tests were
• performed on SF in the Phase Na azea during this reporting period. One sample of SF was collected
from the Phase Na azea and transported to the Golder trailer for index testing, which verified that
materials being placed were un-testable per ASTM D698. Grain-size results passed SF
specification. Golder observed the removal of oversized and deleterious material from all fill azeas.
Golder did not observe or record any confirmation drilling or remediation of any underground
workings during this reporting period.
•
Laboratory Test Results
Golder conducted one grain-size and atterberg limits on sample SFa-04. Results indicated a passing
SF specification for grain-size and atterberg limits, but was deemed un-testable for compaction
testing (ASTM D-698), due to a high percentage of material retained on the 0.75-inch sieve.
(See Attachment B for laboratory testing results.)
Meetines
CC&V held a Weekly Contractor meeting on August 2151. Items discussed include Safety,
Environmental, Schedule, and CQA. The next weekly meeting will be held on August 28a', 2001 at
10:00 AM.
Golder Personnel On-Site
A summary of all Golder CQA personnel on site during this reporting period is presented in
Attachment C.
Sincerely,
Bob Nichols
Resident CQA Monitor
Phue IVa 29 Aug 19-25.doc
Golder Associates Inc.
