• DIVISION OF MINERALS & GEOLOGY BOARD PERM11' APPLICATION
REGULAR OPERATION (112)
PROJECT NAME: HOGUE/K1VER PI"1'
Page
EXHIBIT U - MINING PLAN
Note: The quantity of topsoil in Phase I is derived by
subtracting the area of the existing pond. All
topsoil quantities are based on 12" removal and
replacement.
Phase I
A. Maior Disturbance Areas
1. Phase I operations will reinitiate mining operations in [he
previously mined pond area. Total area io be affected in
Phase i will be approximately 15 acres in size, and the
estimated life of this phase is 7 years. Removed topsoil
will be stockpiled along the north side of the properly as
shown in the attached map. This will help minimize the
visual impacts of mining operations from U.S. Highway 40
• traffic. This stockpile will be shaped, reseeded, and
remain for the duration of the project. This stockpile may
remain after site reclamation is completed at the request
of the landowner.
Some wetland topsoil will be encountered during Phase I.
This topsoil will be removed with an excavator and loaded
on haul units to be transported to stockpiles or directly
to wetland replacement areas.
Prior to the commencement of actual mining activities, the
pond will be dewatered. Processing plants will be located
in the excavated area when sufficient room is realized.
Setting the processing plants in the pit area will help
minimize visual and noise impacts. Processed material
stockpiles will also be located in the excavated area.
•
Duckels Construction, Inc. dba Yampa Aggregates
41230 Koutt County Rd. #129, Steamboat Springs, Colorado 50487
