~~
• DIVISION OF MINERALS Fc GEOLOGY BOARD PERM1"1' APPLICATION
REG(ILAR OPERATION (112)
PROJECT NAME: HOGUE/RIVEK PIT
Pad e ii
EXHIBIT D - ~IINING PLAN
7. Water diversions wil] be constructed in connection with
perimeter trench drains and dewatering systems. Inferior
water diversions may be required for site drainage. A
100-foot "no work zone" will be preserved between the pit
and the Yampa River. Pampa Fiver flows will not be
affected.
A water impoundment will be created after pi[ excavations
are completed and the dewatering system is terminated.
Small water impoundments may also be created at the
settling ponds used for dewatering operations. These areas
may be utilized for wetlands construction by backfilling
with overburden or unsuitable material and covering the
material with topsoil and/or existing wetland dredge.
6. Basic phasing of mine operations is subject to the approval
of [he owners. Phase planning is designated to meet the
requirements set forth by Mr. Hogue and the Hogue Ranch as
well as utilize the gravel reserves on this property.
9. The project is proposed to consist of four main phases of
mining operations.
Phase I operations will begin at the existing pond.
' Phasing and operations will expand to the west to include
approximately 38 acres that will be affected by mining
operations. Mining is expected to take approximately 20
years to complete. A pond approximately 25 to 30 acres in
size will be created from mining operations.
SIZE WETLANDS EXT.
