4. Rule 6.4.3(f) requires that atl water wells in the surrounding area be identified on the <br />map. The Division could not locate any water wells on the exhibits. Please locate the <br />wells on a map and state the owners and the depth of the wells. <br />Mr. Jeffrey Schumacher indicates that there are only 3 water welts in the area <br />surrounding area of the pik One lies at the NW rnmer of the pit boundaries, <br />outside of the pit area, and is used ss a stock we1L It ties within 200 feet of the pit <br />boundaries, but it is owned by Mr. Schumacher who has already approved the pit <br />boundaries. The approximate depth to water is 230'. Horizon Pork, which Hes to <br />the north of the pit, bas two wells used for their swine production facility. Neither is <br />within 200 feet of the pit boundary. Their depths are approximately the same as <br />Jeffrey Schamacher's we1L These locations are shown on the attached map. <br />5. Per Rule 6.4.3(g), the applicant will need to depict the owner's name, type of structure <br />and location of all significant, valuable and permanent man-made structures on the area <br />of affected land and within 200 feet of the affected land. Please identify the owners of all <br />roads, ditches, pipelines, gas lines, gas wells, utility lines, water wells, fences, buildings, <br />ponds, etc...on and within 200 feet of the affected land <br />The wind generator towers and underground electrical rnllecHon lines which lie <br />south of the eastern neck of the pit are owned by EnXco , do Tadd Miller, EnXco <br />Regional Manager, 914 N. 8th Street West, Clear Lake, IA 50428. None of the wind <br />generation towers lie within 200 feet of the bom:daries of the pik Oae underground <br />electric line between two wind generation towers is within 200 feet of the <br />boundaries. I have requested a letter from the local site supervisor for EnXrn <br />stating that there will be no effeck We believe there will be no effect because no <br />mining activity will touch or impact that line which is buried approximately three <br />feet deep and well outside the pit boundaries. <br />The structures tying immediately north of the pit boundaries are owned by Horizon <br />Pork LLC. Some of the overhead feed storage snits are within 200 feet of the <br />boundary. The actual swine production facilities themselves are nok I Gave ai4o <br />requested a letter from Horizon Pork LLC stating there will be no direct unpack <br />The roadway lying immediately north of the pit is lying an the property owned by <br />Jeffrey Schumacher. It is a service road to check his pasture and is also used as an <br />access to the EnXco wind generator towers. The only other road m the area is <br />Logan County road 45 that runs along the west side of the properly. <br />Mr. Schumacher maintains a fence around his entire property. <br />There are no other known structures. <br />
