75
• Correlations with other sites: Type mm26 at Magic Mountain (Irwin-
Williams and Irwin 1966:87, Fig. 27), and Type J at LoDaisKa (Irwin
and Irwin 1959:32, Fig. 24).
Projectile points: ex anding stem narrower than blade, Leaf-shaped,
sharp oblique tang, Type IVE_ Dne specimen ig, t .
Description: characterized by narrow lateral indentation, the axis
which is steeply inclined relative to the long axis. Notch width is
less than the length. The base is missing and there is pressure
flaking with a lightly serrated edge.
Material: chert.
Size range: incomplete, estimated length, 45 mm.; width, 32 mm.; and
thickness, 4 mm.
Special notes: basal configuration is unobtainable due to condition.
Correlations with other sites: Jukebox Cave (Jennings 1957:177, Fig.
159x).
Projectile points: expanding stem narrower than blade, Ieaf-ahaped,
convex base, Type rve. One specimen. (Fig. 7w).
Description: curved oblique tang. The blade is widest above the tang,
and the stem is narrow compared to the blade. The specimen in col-
lection is made on a flake with only minimal retouch on one face.
(• f~laterial: chert.
Size range: length is incomplete; width, 14 mm.; and thickness, 2 mm.
Special notes: the specimen in collection has been fractured trans-
versely and subsequently resharpened. Heat damage is indicated.
Projectile points: lateral notch, base wider than blade, Type yA.
une specimen lrig. iyl.
Description: narrow lateral notch above intersection of blade and basal
margin. The widest point of the blade is below the lateral notch. It
has biconvex outline, wide, shallow basal concavity, and finely con-
trolled pressure flaking on both faces. The edges are lightly serrated.
Material: chert.
Size range: length, 43 mm.; width, 28 mm.; and thickness, 4 mm.
Special notes: the lateral notch is slightly "V" shaped, oriented per-
pendicular to the long axis, and located very close to the base-blade
intersection.
Correlations with other sites: the LoDaisKa site (Irwin and Irwin 1959:
25, Fig. 17), and the McKean site, upper level (Mulloy 1954:446, Fig. 4-
22).
