Some of these homes are located of the
base of the sandstone`cliffs that surround the Red Canyon. values of residential
homes and particularly raw land prices in Coalby Canyon have begun to rise due to
the beautiful views and relative seclusion og'ered by five acre zoning. Please save this quiet and peaceful
residential community from the excessive noise, dust' and scaring from the proposed
mining operation. We recommend Denial of permit SD05-11 for the following
reasons:
• Coalby Cattyon is a natural amphitheater which resonates sound up and down
the valley moving noise, dust, and diesel fumes along its path.
• Diesel generators; compressors, bulldozers, rock crushers, pneumatic
hammers, ripping of bed rock,.and gravel trucks working from 7:00 AM to
'' "' '5:30° PM (witlt ~oteadal=for'additional`hours'as business^dietates), Monday.-
' ' ' throitgh'~ Friday will ruin the tranquility br our'communiry. 3 am told -by a
'""' Ciialb'y' lesidt:rit'tlst BensoiY Brotheis'~ cbns~tdtant estimated the gorse level to
be 85'decibels at 100 feetaway.
