(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase Na, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />November 11 a' through November 17a', 2001. <br />• The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />ranged from 26° F to 33° F, and highs ranging from 50° F to 64° F. Snow was recorded on November <br />17`s. Weather observations were made on all seven days of this reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase [Va, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on five days of <br />this seven-day reporting period (November 12`h through November 16a'). <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames continued cut activities in the Southern Access Road and above the existing ADR building <br />and at edge of liner (EOL) station 21+00. A Caterpillar D10 dozer pushed material to a Caterpillaz <br />992 loader, which loaded multiple haul trucks. Cut material was transported to the Arequa Gulch fill <br />within Phase IVa and/or Phase IVb. <br />Ames continued Structural Fill (SF) placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of <br />the Phase IVa footprint, in the Arequa Gulch area. SF materials were placed in horizontal lifts <br />typically not exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness. A Caterpillaz CS563C roller provided compactive <br />effort, while a Caterpillaz water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required.
