ENVIRONMENTS INC. PAGE 2
APRIL 30, 2004
compaction rate will not be possible because of their size, but it
will be placed in a way to stabilize the filled area. The inert
material will come from projects done by Willits Company and the
area will not be open for dumping in general so control of the
material to meet the inert definition will not be a problem.
5. Please refer to Exhibit L - Reclamation Coste starting on
page 31 of the application book.
# linear feet of working face 50 to 60 feet high - 800 ift
# linear feet of unfinished slope & at what configuration - so0 lft working
face, near vertical needing cut/fill shaping (48,00 cy).
Side slopes will be mine to final configuration so no grading
would be needed.
# Acres to be topsoiled - 15.17. ac t
# Acres to be revegetated - 18.12 ac t
# Acre- ft of finish grading - 10.57 ac-ft ( I8 .12 ac x 7 inches )
We confirm that the working face will be near vertical and have
calculated the amount of material needed to cut/fill this face
using that assumption. We will keep the near vertical ( ~:1 or
steeper) face configuration.
6.4.5 Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
6. The ogerator has no problem with the staff's recommendations
of adding two seed species to the mixture. We request that the
following seed mixture be used to replace that proposed on page 14
of the application.
Species ik's PLS/ ac.
Smooth Brome 3.5
Pubescent Wheatgrass 3.0
Slender Wheatgrass 1.5
Indian Ricegrass 2.0
Arizona Fescue 0.5
10.5
7. 1) Yes, The wetland area is shown on the colored map on page
19 and all other map exhibits in the southwestern part of the
permit area. 2) A fence will be installed along the northern
limits of the area so it will not be disturbed. In addition the
site berm will be left until very last and it will isolate this
area from the active working area in the mine. This is shown on
Map Exhibit C-1 - Mining Plan Map and on the map supplied in the
Exhibit L. 3) The floor elevation will be 8125 and the wetland
area slopes from 8120 to 8070, so the floor will be approximately
5 to 55 feet above the wetland area. 4) at this time the prop-
erty slopes to the south and south west so runoff from the site
does not necessarily enter the wetland area. There is little
runoff from the site now but once mining is complete the floor
will slope to the southwest so drainage would enter the wetland
area if runoff occurs.
6.4.12 Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
