A. This operation is not expected to interfere with the surface or gcoundcaater
systems. Seep caater from the mine is presently collected in undergro~ind sumps and
used for underground mining and drilling requirements. There are tentative plans
to pump surplus water to the surface into a series of retention ponds to percolate
back into the ground water system.
C. Underground drilling requirements are estimated to consume 2000 gallons per day
or 70,000 cubic feet annually. Surface sanitation facilities consume approximately
3,000 gallons per week or 21,000 cubic feet annually. Reclamation pleins will be
based on annual precipitation.
D. T_he caderground water requirements are more than met by the sumps with no expected
future problems. The surface sanitation water is trucked in from the Union Carbide
.`Sill in Uravan.
