<br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided far usa by <br />the Land Reclamation ©oard in their conr,ideratien of a mininq permit <br />for Wnicn Carbide Corporation <br />(Sunday h1ine) <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, to the hest of our <br />knowledge, that the impact ^f the proposed mining ^peration ^n wildlife <br />will he <br />x minor <br />moderate <br />major <br />Mine Location: T. 44 N., R 18 W., Sac. 24; Sec. 13, 535; T. 44 PJ., <br />R. 17 W., Sec. 19 MW;~. <br />Wildlife Species List: (may ha attached The major wildlife ;species <br />which will be impacted by the operation are dear, elk and antelope. <br />Deer and elk use +,he area primarily as winter-ranee. Many other wildlife <br />species als^ inhabit the area. <br />Endangered Species Impacted: None that are known. <br />Assessment of Impact on Wildlife: (may 6e attached) The numerous explara- <br />tien rcads and human activity associated with these reads will. have an <br />adverse impact ^n wildlife. Wintertime human activity in the area will <br />impact the value of the area as valuable winter-ranee for big game. <br />Mine Reclamation Recommendations: (may he attached) Exploration and service <br />roads should be closed and revegetated with natural veoetatiori_ Water <br />resources available in the area should be developed Far wildlife and <br />livestock, where feasible.
