•
5. No. A goodly portion of the drainage uses a smaller
ravine near the central part of the property. This drainage, also
to the south, will continue to carry part of the load. At the
completion of reclamation the drainage will be nearly as it is
now.
6. Two small ponds of about 10,000 square feet can be used
to effectively remove any abnormal sediments before the water
leaves the property. One pond will be located near the point
where the water exits the property at both the central and
western ravines. The ponds will be about 200 feet long by
50 feet wide and 3 to 5 feet deep. Sediments will be removed
from the ponds as sediment build up requires. The sediments
will be stored in the spoil piles and added to the resoiling
cache. We have consulted with Mr. Roy Bell of the SCS on this
matter. It is his recommendations that are outlined above.
7. This is the current plan. If there ere changes they
will be made by technical revision.
8. Aggregate.
9. Please quote a directly applicable rule and statute for
this request.
10. Please quote n directly applicoble rule and statute for
this request.
11. A cross section running approximately [4'SI9 to ENE is
attached.
C. 1. No. Apparently these trails are required by Rule 6. In
addition, the trails will be necessary for property inspection.
Mr. h1ark lleifner, the soils and revegetation consultant, has
responded to items C. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 1. 1. as
follows. Environment, Inc. ("EI") comments where it seems
appropriate.
2. In re-examining the field notes and photographs it is agreed
that some small amounts of soil may be salvageable from the west
and south facing slopes. However, the soils in this area ere
generally quite stony and tend to be highly variable in depth and
extent. Preplaning to that great an extent is simply not
feasible. If salvageable soils are encountered in this area they
will be stockpiled.
EI - If soils are salvaged they will be stockpiled on the
floor area vvitiiin 500 feet of where they are to be used on the
north and south side benches.
2
