P, D, Box 103. <br />Delta, CO 81416 Pit t13 <br />' The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, t^ the best of <br />our knowledge, that the impact ^F the proposed mining ^peration nn <br />wildlife will be <br />' X minor <br />' moderate <br />major <br />Mine Location: T,13 5., R, 91 W., Sec. 31 at confluence ^f Minnesota <br />Creek and North Fork of the Gunnison River <br />' Wildlife Species List: (rnay be attached) Small game including cotton- <br />' tail rabbits and pheasants, furbearers including muskrats and raccoon, <br />various small mammals, songbirds, raptors and waterfowl. <br />Endangered Species Impacted: <br />None known <br />' Flssessment, of Impact ^n Wildlife: (may be attached) <br />' Mine Reclamation Recommendations: (may be attached) Mining should be kept <br />in the phase I area as much as possible. Phase II ^f the operation should <br />be delayed until last to protect the best wildlife habitat against en- <br />' croachment until last. Reestablishment ^f river-bottom vegetation of cotton- <br />wood and willow should be done after mining in the Phase II area. <br />The present Phase III should be excavated to provide a buffer zone of at <br />least 10 feet along Minnesota Creek. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Prepared by David W.
