Sampling of surface water inflow and <br />outflow through the subject area will be conducted at the sites <br />shown on Hap 4, Mine No. 3 Hydrology and on the schedule described <br />in Eahibit 15, Hydrologic Monitoring Plan. <br />Dater Availability Characteristics <br />Agricultural Activities <br />A description and map of <br />agricultural activities in the <br />proposed permit and adjacent area is provided under Rule 2.04.3. <br />Map 9, Energy Mine No. 3 Land Ose, shoes that the land use of the <br />adjacent area is cropland and pastureland. <br />Soils and vegetation information presented under Rules 2.04.9 <br />and 2.04.10 concerning the proposed permit area are summarized <br />below. The soils and vegetation characteristics found in the <br />proposed permit area are also found in the floodplains on Foidel, <br />Middle, and Fish Creeks, as demonstrated by Map 19, Energy Hine No. <br />3 Soils and Map 7, Energy Mine No. 3 Premining Vegetation. <br />Therefore, the descriptions of soils and vegetation in the proposed <br />permit area are also applicable to the downstream reaches of the <br />intermittent and perennial streams in the adjacent area. <br />Soils <br />The soil types found along the intermittent streams in the <br /> <br />proposed permit area are Yampa (12A), Dnnamed 30 (30A) and Silas <br />(SSA). Locations of these soils are found on Map 19, Energy Mine <br />No. 3 Soils. Descriptions of these soils can be found in Exhibits 7 <br />2.06-17 <br />
