•
Page 2
EXHIBIT C - MAP - MINING PLAN MAP
See attached.
EXHIBIT D - MINING PLAN
The mining operation to be conducted will be a surface gravel
extraction operation. The operation will consist of stripping and
stockpiling topsoil; removing the gravel; leveling the mined areas
and revegetating in accordance with the enclosed reclamation plan.
Equipment to be used on the site will consist of the following:
1. Screening plant:
HD - portable
2. Front End Loader:
Kohlman Model 101
Caterpiller Madel 950
3. Trucks: Tandem axle dump trucks and semi truck/trailer dumps.
The proposed plan is to begin mining at the northeast portion of
the property and move in a west by southwest direction, Topsoil and
overburden will be stockpiled on the south edge of the area being
mined t~~ facilitate reclamation.
It is estimated that approximately five acres will be initially
disturb=_d to provide adequate working and stockpiling area. Approxi-
mately :Five acres will be disturbed during the first year of operation.
Ac~:ess to the proposed area will generally be provided by exist-
ing roads. The access roads will be properly maintained by Pioneer
Sand Company, Inc. during the life of the operation. The haul dis-
tance from the mining site to Interstate 25 is approximately 3/4 to
1~ miler.
To alleviate any dust problems on the access road, truck speeds
will be kept under twenty miles per hour and the road surface will
be gravE:led. These control measures have been discussed with the
Air Pol:'_ution Control Division of the State and they have indicated
their initial approval.
It is the intention of Pioneer Sand Company, Inc. to leave a
wall on the north side of the pit area to hide the pit from traffic
visibility along I-25.
ThE~ mining equipment to be used will not require any public
service:: such as water, electricity, or gas.
EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN
As indicated in the Niining Plan (Exhibit D), the area will be
worked northeast to southwest. Approximately four to six inches of
topsoil will be removed and stockpiled for future reclamation use.
