Below are items to address the technical review of 15 May 2003 affecting Glacier Peak Mining, Permit
Application M-2003-030.
15. 6.3.3 E3G-IIBIT C -MINING PLAN
Site and Boundary Mazkings
All mining claims in this application aze mazked with standazd claim markers and notices as required
by law. Claim boundaries aze mazked with posts set at the four corners and at center sides. These
posts aze topped with 4" of red paint, below which is 4" of white paint. Most posts are standazd 4 x 4"
posts. Claim notices are centered on the claims on trees or posts. Location papers are stored in
waterproof cans at the foot of these trees. Most claims also have two or more notices to give persons
on site a description of claim boundaries and notice of their field location.
All proposed excavation sites are marked with 18" survey stakes, most with painted red tops. Some
aze flagged with fluorescent pink flagging tape. These stakes are set to cover the proposed excavation
and any area which will be disturbed by storage of topsoil and equipment footprints.
Areas are marked as accurately as possible to include possible mineralized areas. Generally it will not
be necessary to excavate the entire block which is staked out, nor is this planned. It is uneconomical to
do so. The areas are marked, that in the case mineralized areas are encountered which run generally to
one side or other of the center of the proposed excavation site, we will still be able to excavate the
planned azea without exceeding the size of excavation indicated in our proposal.
Excavations will not extend outside the blocked areas without applying for a modification to this plan.
However, because these excavation sites are located within large, previous disturbed areas, we will
reclaim azeas larger than the excavation sites in order to reclaim the entire area. This is shown by the
crosshatched areas on the accompanying maps in our reclarnation plan. This will be necessary to
return all of the affected azea to its original natwal condition.
15. 6.3.4 EJG-IIBIT D -RECLAMATION PLAN
6.3.4(11 (c) Revegetation:
(iii) Plant species
Rate of application will be 32.5 Ibs of seed per acre. Live seed per acre per species will be as follows:
Bromegrass
Paiute Orchazdgrass
Annual Ryegrass
Oahe V/heatgrass
Fawn Tall Fescue
Other misc. grass
Native wildflower
6.41 Ib
5.271b
5.67 Ib
7.021b
2.91 lb
.56 Ib
.251b 28.1 live pounds per acre total
Live seed quantities will vary according to the stock available each season; therefore, we will use the
above application rate (32.5 lbs) as a minimum at a 90% live seed quantity.
