0

EXHIBIT H
WILDLIFE
The proposed mine site is located approximately one-

half mile southwest of the Black Forest Gliderport, and
immediately adjacent, to the south, of the subdivision,
which has been platted for future development. The site
lies between Templeton Gap Road on the west, and Vollmer
Road on the east, as shown on the accompanying maps, and
includes 101.633 acres (South ~, Section 32, Township 12
South, Range 65 West, E1 Paso County, Colorado).
The property is a relatively flat to gently sloping

range land fenced with barbed wire, which apparently has
been grazed by horses in the recent past. Towards the
western margin of the property the land slopes off rather
steeply into a streambed that was eroded through granitic
and arkosic sandstone outwash to a depth of approximately
20 feet.
Vegetation on the site is a combination of mixed
forbs and grasses dominated by blue grama, fendler three
awn, little bluestem, squirreltail, asters, and yucca.
There is one single ponderosa pine sapling in the center
of the permit area, and flowing water is present in the
streambed to the west of the site.
H-1
