Phase IVb Weekly Summary No. 2 Pale 2 003-2203 L230 were deployed, seamed, and tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive fusion seam samples DF-33 through DF-66, were marked, removed, and tested. Ames continued placement of Structural Fill (SF) in the Phase IVb area. Ames placed SF at the Phase IVa/IVb tie-in and above the Phase IVb sump. Ames also continued slope recontouring in the Phase IVb area on Substation Hill, on the northern PSSA slope, in the PSSA floor, on Chicken Hawk Hill, in the PSSA West End Berm, and on the Phase III ore slope. Ames also placed SF into UG-493 and UNK-15. Ames continued construction of the Leak Detection Trench (LDT) in Phase IVb along the North slope of the PSSA. Ames constructed approximately 400 feet of LDT. Ames continued excavation of the interior anchor trench along the Northern limit of Phase IVb PSSA in prepazation for geomembrane deployment. Ames excavated approximately 1,200 feet of anchor trench. Ames resumed placement of Concrete Plug (CP) concrete into "Deep Shaft" UG-493. Ames placed three feet of concrete in accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1. Ames placed Cemented Rockfill (CR) at UG-493 by tapering the workings and placing 7 feet of CR in accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1. Phase IVc Ames continued placement of Coazse Shaft Backfill (CSB) into "Deep" underground working UG-270. Ames resumed placement of Concrete Plug (CP) concrete into "Deep Shafts" UG-270 and UG-274. Ames placed three feet of concrete in accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1. Ames continued placement of Select Structural Fill (SSF) into UG-270, UG-286, and UG-291. Ames constructed a geogrid cap over UNK-09. Ames placed two layers of geogdd in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Field Monitorine and Testine Activities Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IV earthworks. All construction materials and soil materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in accordance with project specifications. Removal of oversized and deleterious material from all fill azeas was observed. Golder observed Structural Fill (SF) placement in Phase IV for materials, lift thickness, moisture content, and compactive effort. Golder observed placement of SLF in Phase IVb for subgrade preparation, thickness, compaction, moisture content, and materials. Golder conducted thirty in-situ density and moisture content tests to verify SLF placed complied with the specifications.
