Topsoil Removal, Handling and Storage
Topsoil removal, handling and storage facilities are discussed 1n Sec-
tion 4.3.1.5 of this permit application. Since these facilities will
not be undermined and are outside the area of Influence from underground
mining operations, they will be addressed in no further detail 1n this
subsidence section.
Coat Handling Structures
Coal handling structures are discussed in detail 1n Section 4.3.1.6 of
this permit application. The only coal handling structure that may be
influenced by mining is an above-ground, 36-inch truss conveyor system
parallel to County Road 108. Portions of this conveyor are situated
such that they may be undermined by development entries in No. 1 Mine.
These areas will be protected from subsidence by insuring that suffici-
ent coal is left to place to prevent possible subsidence. If subsidence
does damage this structure, 1t will be repaired as deemed necessary by
Snovmass Coal Company.
Coal and Non-Coat Processing Naste

Coal and non-coal processing waste disposal areas are discussed in Sec-
tlon 4.3.1.7 of this permit application. Since these areas will not be
undermined and are outside the area of influence from underground mining
• operations, they will be addressed 1n no further detail in this subsi-
dence section.
8
