• detail in Section 4.3.1.3 of this permit application. 51nce these
structures will not be undermined and are outside the area of influence
from underground mining operations, they will be addressed in no further
detail in this subsidence section.
County Road 108 .?
A total of 7,400 ft. of County Road 108 traverses the mine site. County
Road 108 is located such that development entries in No. 1 Mine may be
driven under the road. These areas will be protected from subsidence by
insuring that sufficient coal is left 1n place to prevent possible sub-
sidence. If subsidence does damage the road, 1t will be maintained and
repaired by Snownass Coal Company.
•
Ponds, Impoundments and Diversion Structures
Ponds, impoundments and diversion systems on the mine site are discussed
1n Section 4.3.1.4 of this permit application. The only structures that
may be Influenced by mining are temporary diversion structures and velo-
city control structures located adjacent to County Road 108. They are
situated such that they may be undermined by development entries in No.
1 Mine. These areas will be protected from subsidence by insuring that
sufficient coal 1s left in place to prevent possible subsidence. If
subsidence does damages these systems, they will be maintained, repaired
or replaced as deemed necessary by Snownass Coal Company.
7.
