• (6) Larsen Colorado LLC will control all prohibited noxious weeds and other weed species <br />which seriously threaten revegetation success in accordance with and in concert with the <br />Fremont County Weed Control Department. <br />(7) If needed, fire lanes will be provided through the area planted. However, no fire lanes <br />currently exist in the azea, and the need for future fine lanes in not anticipated. <br />(8) Reclamation of Phase I is not anticipated to occur until after mining ceases in Phase 1. As <br />mining and processing progress in Phase 1, normal stabilization of disturbed areas will be done. <br />Reclamation of areas of Phase 1 required for access to subsequent mining areas and/or for future <br />material processing will be conducted after those areas are no longer requued for access or <br />processing. . <br />(9) Should adverse conditions of the surface, not feasibly remedied by artificial measures, occur <br />in parts of Phase 1, Larsen Colorado LLC may delay planting on those areas or plant on <br />substitute acres, depending on natural corrective processes, over a ten year period <br />(xi) 3.1.11 Buildings and Structures <br />No structures exist on the affected land. <br />(xii) 3.1.12 Signs and Mazkers <br />Larsen Colorado LLC will post the appropriate sign at the entrance of the mine site and the <br />• appropriate signs or markers along the boundary of the affected land. <br />(xiii) 3.1.13 Spill Reporting <br />Larsen Colorado LLC will notify the Office of any spill of any toxic or hazardous substance, <br />including petroleum products, that occur within the affected area which would be required to be <br />reported to any Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the <br />Natural Response Center, the Colorado Emergency Planning Commission, local Emergency <br />Planning Committee, or the State Oil Inspector. All appropriate procedures for reporting such <br />spill will be strictly followed. <br />(d) As described above in (ix) 3. L9, topsoil will be salvaged, stockpiled, stabilized, vegetated, <br />and protected from erosion. Re-handling of stockpiled topsoil will be minimized. Areas where <br />topsoil is to be placed will be stabilized and prepared so as to prevent topsoil loss due to erosion <br />or other factors. <br />The seed mix proposed for use by Larsen Colorado LLC was provided by the local N.R.C.S. <br />office and is included with this application as Attachment E-1. <br />(e) Reclamation of disturbed lands will occur on individual parcels of Phase 1 after mining is <br />completed and no further disturbance is anticipated on a particular parcel. This reclamation will <br />consist of creating stable slopes, benches, and bench faces; closing of roads and access ways; and <br />installing proper drainage features as needed. <br />• <br />
