D 1983 1995
C 1990 2005
B 1995 2020
These seams will be mined with continuous miners and longwall, and
recovery will range from 50 percent to 75 percent of the in-place tonnage.
Exhibits 2.05.2-A and 2.05.2-B indicate the method, extent and timetable
for mining the E and D Seams. The upper and lower seams will be mined in
the same manner for roof and floor support. Exhibits 2.04.6-A through
2.04.6-J show the thicknesses of coal and interburden between seams.
Exhibits 2.04.6-K through 2.04.6-P are geologic drill hole maps that
describe the stratum penetrated from above the E Seam to the lowest
mineable B Seam. All mining limits will be the limits of the permit
boundary.
Underground mining activities will be conducted to maximize the utili-
zation and conservation of the coal while maintaining environmental
integrity so that reaffecting the land in the future through coal mining
operations is minimized.
(3) Mine Faciliti
(a) Narrative and Maps
The surface facilities are located in a narrow valley of steep, well-
drained slopes (Exhibits 2.05.2-D through 2.05.2-F). The location, main-
tenance and removal plans for ail existing or proposed structures follow:
2.05-29
