EXHIBIT E
Reclamation Plan
The area that is affected at the present time has 4 s~.tack-
piles of usuable gravel The remaining mined area will be used
for future stock piles. Two of these piles x111 be eliminated
around April, but the area will be needed for the other piles,
so T see no reclamation to take place for approximently 2 years,
[de x111 continue to stock pile the top soil towards the
i+est end of the mine xhere we have 2 piles already. The top soil
is removed by scrappers or. our D-8 cat and hauled to the existing
•
piles or piled in a nex pile.
When the area is cleaned up and will not be mined or used
for stockpiling anymore, oui• reclamation will take place. First,
our scrappers will bring in a fill material to fill in the holes
and graduate out the steep slopes of the mining perimeter to;,meet/
the existing ground contour. We then x111 place 6-12" of topsoil
over the reclamed area which x111 be taken from the stockpiles by
ourserappers. Since ue've also been in the farming business for
20 years, xe will be very carefull with the placing of topsoil
so there x111 be very little, if any, conditions For soil erosion.
When this is done, the seed bed will be prepared by pulling a 20'
off set disc over the area and the placing of a light coat of
manure to help hold the soil from bloiaing, Seeding will take
place with a disc shoe drill with the planting of blue gramma,
~,
~~•, .,
[~.1 '
~Ph.
/~~'.
~ -.
.~
r~ ~
~.a
~~
western xheat grass or side oats gramma.
