RECLAMATION PLAN (EXHIBIT E)
12. You propose to have a water storage reservoir as a central
feature of the site after reclamation is complete. Please
provide additional information regarding both physical and
legal availability of water to meet not only water requirements
during mining, but to demonstrate that the final land use can
be achieved. Note that it is the policy of the Mined Land
Reclamation Board to reouire an alternative reclamation plan in
the application when insufficient water rights have been
secured at the time of permit issuance to insure that the
proposed reclamation can be completed. in the event you submit
such an alternate reclamation plan, you must bond for the costs
attributable to this plan if they are higher than those
corresponding to the primary reclamation plan.
13. It appears that there may be some erosion of the reservoir
shorelines due to wave action and/or fluctuatina_ water levels.
What measures will be taken to insure shoreline stability?
14, Please describe in more detail the design of the Riverfront
Bike Trail. Have the costs attributable to such construction
been included in the Reclamation Cost Estimate?
'15. What is the proposed final water surface elevation for the
reservoir. Please show the water surface and topographic
detail of the reservoir on the Reclamation Plan Map.
WATER INFORMATION (EXHIBIT G}
16. The first statement in this section of your application is
incorrect, If you intend to intercept tributary around water,
disc harae water to the stream under an NPDES Permit, and/or
alter historic drainage patterns, surface water systems will be
directly affected. Please discuss.
17. Are there any wells in the vicinity of your proposed
operation? If so, please address the potential impacts to
existing wells as a result of your proposed dewaterina
operations, and your plan to mitigate any such adverse impacts.
18. Hasa well permit been applied for? Please be advised that you
must obtain a well permit from the Colorado Division of Water
Resources prior to intercepting around water with your
excavation.
