EXHIBIT C - Mining Plan (continued)
West End Gravel Company
Page -3-
11. No refuse, acid-forming or toxic producing material
will be exposed during the operation.
12. There will be no disturbance of the hydrological
balance as no groundwater or surface water will be intercepted.
Natural runoff from the site will be contained in an existing
stock pond that currently collects runoff. All operations will
be contained on the site, and, thus, no offsite damage of any
kind will occur.
At the conclusion of the removal of gravel from each
area of approximately two (2) acres, topsoil will be spread
to a depth of approximately six inches (6"). The slope of the
reclaimed area will be less than one percent (1$) which will
allow for irrigation, but will prevent erosion of the surface.
13. The gravel will be crushed and screened on site.
A crushing plant utilizing a jaw or cone crusher with multiple
screen surface to separate various sizes of material will be
used. The crushing and screening plant will be portable and
moved within the site as removal of the gravel progresses.
Dust control utilizing a water spray system will be incorporated
in the crushing and screening plant. No chemicals will be used
in the processing operation.
-10-
