EXHIBIT D
to that certain
Limited Impact Operation (110(2))
Reclamation Permit
Application Form
WEST END GRAVEL COMPANY
RECLAMATION PLAN
1. The present use of the land to be affected is limited
rangeland as little vegetation is present. Lack of nutrients
in the soil prohibit plant growth, Reclamation of all disturbed
areas to more productive rangeland is proposed as the landowner
will incorporate the reclaimed land in its cattle ranching
operation.
2. At the completion of the removal of gravel from each
approximately two (2) acres of land, the area will be leveled
to a slope not exceeding one percent (18), but with adequate
slope for flood irrigation of the grass and crops to be grown
on the area after mining. Topsoil will be placed on the leveled
areas to a depth of approximately six inches (6"). No other
soil or overburden exists on the area.
3. After the topsoil is placed and leveled on the mined
areas, one (1) ton of gypsum per acre will be incorporated into
the soil to a depth of six inches (6"). The gypsum will allow
the salts in the soil to release from the clay particles and
leach out of the plant root zone.
Fertilizer at the rate of seventy-five (75) pounds per
acre of a mix of 20/10/10 plus three percent (38) iron will
be spread and worked into the soil to a depth of four inches
(4"). A legume such as white clover will be planted the first
growing season after the topsoil is placed. The white clover
will be planted at a rate of forty (40) pounds per acre. The
white clover will be irrigated during the growing season to
ensure survival of the emerging plants. At the end of the
growing season, the white clover crop will be plowed back into
-11-
