• <br /> EXHIBIT C-lA (CONTINUED) <br /> The existing site can be divided into the following three basic <br /> areas : <br /> 1 . The south 250±l (5± acre) portion of the permit area abutting <br /> ! 88th Avenue south of the Wyco Pipeline and west of an existing <br /> home on the property to the east . This is the only portion of <br /> the property abutting 88th Avenue . It is utilized as <br /> pastureland. Soils in this area are Loamy Alluvial Land, <br /> moderately wet (Lw) . The conveyor from the mining operation <br /> to the south traverses along the west boundary of this area. <br /> • This portion of the property is designated as Area 1 on the <br /> MINING PLAN (EXHIBIT C-2) AND RECLAMATION PLAN (EXHIBIT F) <br /> MAPS . <br /> The structures within 200 , of this portion of the proposed <br /> mining area that are not under the ownership or control of the <br /> • applicant are: (1) the Wyco Pipeline; (2) two homes and other <br /> miscellaneous structures including several power poles on two <br /> parcels to the east of this proposed mining area; and (3) 88th <br /> Avenue with approximately 24 ' of paved road, underground <br /> utilities, and several power poles within the 88th Avenue <br /> right-of-way. <br /> I• <br /> An agreement was reached with Wyco on setback, conditions of <br /> mining, etc . , from their pipeline. A copy of this agreement <br /> is contained in Appendix I . On the other structures, the <br /> required setbacks and the final sloping insure the stability <br /> of these structures . An opinion by a registered engineer to <br /> • this effect is also contained in Appendix I . <br /> 2 . The second and largest portion of the permit area is 141± <br /> acres from the Wyco Pipeline to the South Platte River on the <br /> north and west, and the Bull Seep Ditch and adjacent property <br /> on the east . This area is utilized for irrigated and non- <br /> irrigated cropland, pastureland, and other non-farmed or <br /> pastured area along the South Platte River. There are also <br /> several tenant homes and on-site power poles in this area, <br /> which will be removed with mining. The conveyor from the <br /> mining operation to the south traverses across the western <br /> portion of the this part of the proposed permit area roughly <br /> • parallel to the South Platte River until it crosses the River <br /> to connect to the plant to the north when the river turns <br /> east-west . Soils in this area are Loamy Alluvial Land, <br /> gravelly substratum (Lv) , Loamy Alluvial Land, moderately wet <br /> (Lw) , Sandy Alluvial Land (Sm) , and Wet Alluvial Land (Wt) . <br /> • <br /> 0 <br />
