<br /> <br />Grading of the backslopes and lake shore will be performed as mining proceeds, consistent with <br />mining, stockpiling and equipment movement. Reclamation will include topsoiling of the <br />backslopes to the water line and the lake shore with 6" to 10" of topsoil depending upon availability. <br />Average is expected to be 8". <br />(5) There will be no refuse, acid-forming or toxic materials that will be mined or handled on site that <br />could cause unsightliness or affect the drainage system. <br />(6) There are no drill or auger holes involved in this operation to be plugged to prevent pollution <br />drainage. Neither aze [here any adits or shafts to be closed or reclaimed. <br />(7) Maximum slopes and combinations shall be compatible with the configuration of surrounding <br />conditions and selected land use. <br />The only sloping will be the azea from the pit surface to the lake floor which will comply with Rule <br />3.1.5 (7) from 5 feet to 10 feet below the expected water line, slopes shall not be steeper than 3: I and <br />2:1 [hereafter. This lake will be compatible with the surrounding lands. <br />(8) If the operator's choice of reclamation is for agricultural or horticultural crops which <br />. normally require the use of farm machinery, the operator shall grade so that the area can be <br />traversed by farm machinery. <br />Since final reclamation will be lakes, there will be no farm machinery involved, but backslopes will <br />be graded for easy farm machinery travel. <br />(9) An operator may backfill material generated within the permitted area into an excavated <br />pit within the pit area. <br />Material generated within the permit azea is expected [o be salable product. If [here is an excess of <br />any size of material i[ may be used as backfill. <br />(10) All mined materials to be disposed of within the affected area will consist solely of sand and <br />gravel which are inert. All surface drainage will be retained on site and directed into the lakes. <br />(11) No unauthorized release of pollutants to ground water shall occur from any materials <br />mined, handled or disposed of within the permit area. <br />Since final reclamation is to be private lakes in the applicant's ranch holdings, they will be especially <br />cazeful to insure that no pollutants orpollutant-bearing material will be mined, handled or disposed <br />of within the permit area. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
