Structures -
There are no man-made structures within 200 feet of the proposed pit
area.
EXHIBIT C - Mininq Plan
Access is currently available from Phillips County Road No. 3. A trail
already exists into the creek/pit area. This trail will be left in place when
the pit is closed.
Sand and gravel will be mined within the confines of the banks of the creek
bed beginning at the east edge of the Wl/2 NWl/4 and proceeding westward within
the banks of the creek. Excavation will continue as gravel is needed for local
road operations and as the supply remains available. Gravel could be mined as
deep as 15 feet. There is no overburden as the pit will be in the creekbed.
Some stockpiling may be done at the site, but nest of the gravel will be
utilized as it is mined. Any stockpiling that does occur will parallel the
creekbed and be at the extreme edge of the flow area as shown on the attached
map. No processing is anticipated at the pit.
The pit will continue to operate annually. The supply is undetermined,
but it is expected to last indefinitely because of the limited use of the pit.
Mining will begin as soon as all the proper permits are obtained.
The Pquipment to be used in the pit area will be a dozer, front end loader,
and trucks. All equipment maintenance will be done at the county shop in Haxtun
and not at the pit site.
