See appendix 3-D for details.
According to the scope of work forthe mine site reclamation performed in 1987, holes M-1,
M-3 and M-4 were filled with lean cement.
M-8 and M-9 monitoring holes penetrate the No. 1 Mine and No. 3 Mine respectively.
During mine operations, they were used as sump discharge pipes to dewater the
respective mines. During reclamation they are used to monitor the depth of water in the
mines. They are both cased full length with 4-inch steel pipe. M-8 and M-9 are
approximately 386 (Elev. 77oa co7sis> and 226 (Elev. nsa to 7ssal feet deep respectively. They
will be permanently maintained since the wells are an integral part of the water treatment
facility.
Bond Release
Phase I bond release was approved by a letter from the Division dated March 28, 1988.
The result of this approval was that 60% of the bonded amount for backfilling and grading
the mine site and unit train loadout could be released since the reclamation of those items
. was accomplished during 1986 & 1987.
