<br />Mining Plan <br /> <br />Mica White <br />Exhibit C <br />1. Mining will r..ommence on July 1, 1992, and end <br />in approximat.eiy fifty years pluc th« life of the mine. <br />2. There is no existing topsoil because the site Iies on an <br />existing ridge with a slope of 1:1 and 1.5;1 it i5 not <br />currently suitable for plant growth. <br />3. Little or no overburden is expected in the operation, <br />4. Tha thickness of the deposit is approximately 500 feet. <br />5. The mine will be the only activity nn site, processing of <br />materials: will take place elsewhere. There will be a <br />privata access road. There will be no utilities, Or <br />underground openings. <br />6. Due to the existing slope o£ the mine site th? mining <br />plan will be to excavate at a 2:1 slope, and to <br />have an eight foot bench for drainage at. the bottom of <br />each slope as :.hvwn on Exhibit E. <br />7. The roads are currently 18' wide presently, There will be <br />na new road construction. Screenings from operations <br />will be used for road maintenance. <br />8. No water will be used in the operation. <br />9. No ground water is anticipated to be intercepted or <br />disturbed. <br />10. The operation is a totally dry operation. No ground <br />water is anticipated to be intercepted or disturbed. No <br />existing water rights will be injured. If any ground <br />water is intercepted, the water division of the Colorado <br />Department of Health will be notified, and a well permit <br />will most likely be issued. There will be a pond as <br />located on the plat of the Mica White Mine, that will <br />intercept surface water'. All drainage from the mine <br />site will drain Lu the pond as shown r,n the plat. <br />Zl.. No use of refuse or acid-forming materials is <br />anticipated, <br />li:. Colorado Quarries Inc. intends t~ adhwre to all local, <br />federal, state, laws in accordance with this type of <br />operation. The proposed site will be reclaimed in <br />accordan-e with SCS re.:ommendation8. <br />
