Higher flows occurred over a longer period of time in 1996. The higher precipitation in
first four months of 1996 resulted in more early spring runoff.
NPDES site 002 (No Name Gulch) recorded a high flow of approximately 3000
gpm during 1996 (Figure C-2). In general, a base flow of 20 to 40 gpm occurred at this site
after spring runoff.
NPDES site 011 (E. Pyeatt) recorded a high flow of 6804 gpm in 1996 as shown
on Figure C-3. As with the other sites, this high flow occurred during March of 1996.
Seepage that originated from a spring above the Parshall Flume, but below the last
sediment control pond, continued during 1996. Figure C-4 presents the flow versus time
for NPDES site 013 (W. Pyeatt). Peak flow was 100 gpm. Flow ceased on March 17,
1996, after a very short period of spring runoff.
Figure C-5 presents the flow for 1996 at NPDES 015. No flow occurred after April
24, 1996.
~J
4-2
