~.

SURFACE-WATER QUALITY
Samples were collected from active sites S1, 001, 002, 005, 006, 008, 009, 010,
011, 013 and 015 during 1996. Analytical results for these surface water samples are
presented in Table C-1 (page C-27). The more frequently measured parameters are
presented in the first 9 columns with the less frequent measured parameters in the
subsequent columns with the remainder on the last page. NPDES sites 003, 012, 014 and
016 had no discharges during 1996. Therefore, no data are presented.
5.7 TSS
Figures C-6, C-6, C-10, C-12 and C-14 present plots of total suspended solids
(TSS) versus time for the sites 001, 002, 011, 013 and 015, respectively. The 1996 TSS
.--
•~ values are similar to those previously observed except for the February value from sites
NPDES 011 and NPDES 015. These two values are significantly greater than other values
observed at these two sites but are well within the range of natural TSS values observed
from the Trapper drainages. Plots of flow versus TSS for the same sites are presented in
Figures C-7, C-9, C-11, C-13 and C-15. As expected, a general increase in TSS for an
increase in flow is seen in these plots for 1996.
Two TSS values were measured for site S1 (Flume Gulch), one for NPDES 005,
three for 008, one for 009 and one for 010 in 1996. These TSS values are found in Table
C-1. A figure is not presented for TSS for these sites due to the limited data. Sites 001,
002, 005, 009 and 013 were observed to have overall TSS values of less than 122 mg/I
during 1996.
`~
5-1
