2.0 SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for this task covers the following improvements at the Oxbow Mines:
The design of a concrete retaining structure wall to contain runoff and retain
sediment from the II West Coal Refuse Facility.
The following activities were conducted for preparation of the design, plans and
specifications for the dam modifications:
A test pit investigation to assess the geotechnical conditions present at the site;
Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis to develop loading conditions on the retaining
structure,
Structural analysis of the wall using the loading conditions developed from the
hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
