<br />Area #11 <br /> <br />Parking, traffic control, training and main entrance facility located in <br />the SE-1/4 of SW-1/4 of Section 31, T7S, R97W, of the 6th P.M. An area of <br />5.00 acres. During the life of the mine, chemical stabilizers and dust <br />palliatives will be applied to prevent erosion and control fugitive dust. <br />This facility has been in existence since 1973. Upon final abandonment, all <br />buildings and structures will be dismantled and removed. The water well will <br />be sealed and plugged. Compacted ground will be ripped. Fertilizer will be <br />added at the same rate as in Area #1. Grass and forb seed will be broadcast <br />with the same species and same rate as previously explained for the slopes of <br />Area #1. Straw mulch will be applied at 2,000 lbs/acre and crimped in. <br />Reclamation will commence within one year of abandonment. <br />Summary <br />The guard gate area is on a pre-existing area of disturbance of 8.3 <br />acres. All land, not including the road, being utilized will be reclaimed <br />according to the approved plan. <br />Area #12 - <br />Meteorological tower and its associated access road located in the NW-1/4 <br />of the NW-1/4 of Section 19, T6S, R96W of the 6th P.M. An area of 1 acre. <br />The facilities are already present, and little or no surface disturbance has <br />occurred on the wind-swept top. Upon final abandonment all structures and <br />buildings will be dismantled and removed. The surface will be hand raked and <br />the same species and rates of transplanting and seeding as previously <br />explained for benches in Area #1 will be transplanted and broadcast. The <br />access road will be ripped prior to seeding. Straw mulch will be applied at <br />2,000 lbs/acre and crimped in. Jute matting will be fastened down over the <br />mulch. <br />
