Native vegetation is rabbitbrush, sagebrush and lupine. <br />JERRY SERIES <br />These aze deep well-drained soils formed on mountain side slopes oa low ridge crests <br />from colluvium derived from shale. The soil temperature regime is cryic. The Jerry <br />soils are members of the fine, montmorillonitic family of the Argic Cyroborolls. A <br />pedon was described in the waste dump area, 600 feet east and 1000 feet north of <br />the southwest corner, section 22, TZN, R93W. <br />Described Pedon: <br />• Al 0 to 6 inches; dazk gray brown (lOYR 4/2) silty clay loam, <br />very dazk gray brown (lOYR 3/2) moist; moderate medium <br />granulaz structure; hazd and firm, plastic and sticky; manq <br />fine roots; clear smooth boundary. <br />B2t 6 to 16 inches; grayish brown (lOYR 5/2) silty clay, very dazk <br />grayish brown (lOYR 3/2) moist; moderate coarse prismatic <br />structure parting to strong medium blocky; thick continuous <br />clay films, hazd, firm, plastic and sticky; calcazeous. <br />Baca 16 to 35 inches; dazk grayish brown (lOYR 4/2) silty clay, <br />very dark grayish brown (2.SY 3/2) moist; weak fine <br />subangulaz blocky structure; hard and friable, plastic and <br />sticky; strongly calcazeous; thin patchy clay films; few <br />medium roots. <br />• <br />
