Slopes aze 30 to 60 percent. Soil temperature <br />regime is frigid. <br />The Dollazd series aze members of the fine, montmorillonitic (calcazeous), frigid <br />Ustic Torriorthents. A pedon was described neaz the substation in the waste dump <br />azea, 900 feet west and 2,200 feet north of the southeast corner of section 20, T2N, <br />R93W, stop number 7, at an elevation of 7,150 feet. <br />Described Pedon: <br />Al 0 to 4 inches; gray brown (lOYR 5/2) silty clay loam, dazk <br />• gray brown (lOYR 4/2) moist; moderate medium fine <br />granulaz; very friable, plastic and sticky; weakly calcazeous; <br />few fine to medium and coazse roots; cleaz smooth boundary. <br />C1 4 to 19 inches; gray brown (2.5Y 5/2) moist silty clay loam; <br />moderate medium blocky pazting to moderate fine angulaz <br />blocky; friable, plastic and sticky; strongly calcazeous; few <br />fine roots; cleaz smooth boundary. <br />C2 19 to 37 inches; gray brown (2.SY 5/2) moist, silty clay loam; <br />moderate coazse angulaz blocky pazting to moderate fine <br />angulaz blocky; friable, plastic and sticky; strongly cal- <br />cazeous with abundant calcazeous nodules and stringer and <br />approximately 2 percent iron concretions and strong brown <br />(7.SYR 5/6) iron staining; few fine roots; clear smooth boun- <br />dazy. <br />• <br />
