The Jerry makes <br />up about 35 percent of the map unit, the Maurice about 30 percent, and the Rhone <br />about 20 percent. Inclusions comprise about 15 percent. <br />3.2.1.2 Owen Creek-Jerry-Barnette Complex, 6 to 35 Percent Slopes (28) <br />These sloping to steep soils are on narrow ridges and mountain sideslopes <br />at elevations of 7,200 to 8,600 feet. The soils aze deep and well drained. The Owen <br />Creek and Jerry Series aze members of the fine, montmorillonitic family of Argic <br />Cryoborolls; the Barnette is a fine montmorillonitic Argic Pachic Cryoboroll. The <br />average annual precipitation is about 20 inches and the average annual air <br />temperature is about 43oF. The Owen Creek soil makeup about 40 percent of the <br />mapping unit, the Jerry about 30 percent, and the Burnett about 20 percent. The <br />remaining 10 percent consists of inclusions. <br />• 3.2.1.3 Mergel-Redthayne-Dollazd Complex, 3 to 65 Percent Slopes (X-24) <br />These sloping to steep soils aze on mountain slopes and nazrow ridges at <br />elevations between 6,500 to 7,400 feet and generally on a southerly aspect. The <br />soils aze moderately deep to deep and well drained. The Mergel is aloamy-skeletal <br />(mixed) Torriorthentic Haploboroll; the Redthayne is a loamy-skeletal (mixed) <br />Aridic Haploboroll; and the Dollard is a fine montmorillonitic (calcazeous) frigid <br />Ustic Torriorthent. The average annual precipitation is 16 to 20 inches and the <br />average annual air temperature is about 45°F. The Mergel soil makes up about 35 <br />percent of the mapping unit, the Redthayne soil about 30 percent, and the Dollard <br />soil about 20 percent. The remaining 15 percent of the mapping unit consists of <br />inclusions. <br />• <br />I-50 <br />
