(6 to 20 inches thick) <br />C 40 to 60 inches; grayish brown (10YR5/2) loam, dazk grayish brown <br />(10YR4/2) moist; massive; slightly hazd, very friable; neutral. <br />Type Location: These soils aze located approximately 2,640 feet west <br />and 2,000 feet south of the NE corner of section 35, T.40N., R3E in Rio <br />Grande County, Colorado. <br />Ran>;e in Chazacteristics: The soils range from slightly acid to moder- <br />ately alkaline in the control section. Depth to uniformly calcareous <br />material ranges from 40 to more than 60 inches. The control section <br />averages from 18 to 35 percent clay and is loam or clay loam.
