(Colors <br />aze for dry soil unless otherwise noted.) <br />Al 0 to b inches; light olive brown (2.SY5/3) silty clay loam, olive <br />brown (2.SY4/3) moist; moderate fine granulaz structure; soft, very <br />friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; calcareous; moderately <br />alkaline, cleaz smooth boundary. (5 to 8 inches thick) <br />AC 6 to 10 inches; light olive brown (2.SY5/3) silty clay, olive brown <br />(2.SY4/3) moist; weak coazse subangulaz blocky structure; hazd, <br />firm, sticky and plastic; peds aze extremely hazd, very firm; <br />calcareous; moderately alkaline; gradual wavy boundary. (0 to 6 <br />inches thick). <br />Clca 10 to 25 inches; light yellowish brown (2.SY6/4) silty clay, light <br />olive brown (2.SY5/4) moist; massive; extremely hazd, very firm, <br />sticky and plastic; visible calcium cazbonate occurring as nodules <br />and in thin seams and streaks; calcareous; moderately alkaline; <br />clear wacry boundazy. (6 to 35 inches thick) <br />IIC2 25 to 60 inches; calcareous shale. <br />Type Location: This soil is located in section 14, T.S1N., R.1W. in Gunnison <br />County, Colorado. <br />Range in Chazacteristics: Depth to uniformly calcazeous material <br />ranges from 0 to 10 inches.
