eh <br />ESPEY, HUSTON & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />• <br />C3 29-61 in; pale brown (10YR6/3) loam, weak coarse blocky; very <br />friable; slightly sticky and slightly plastic; strongly calcareous; few <br />fine roots; abrupt wavy boundazy; 1 percent fine gravels; <br />gypsiferous throughout. <br />R 61 in +; soft white sandstone. <br />Type Location: This type soil is located at sample point 3, west of a <br />small hill above Curtis Creek at elevation 7,100 feet. <br />Drainage: Soil A is awell-drained soil. <br />3.1.2 Blazon Series <br />The Blazon series consists of shallow soils that formed residually from <br />• material of marine shale. <br />Typical pedon: The Blazon soils consist of channery loam from an area <br />of Blazon-Rentsac complex with 8 to 65 percent slopes. <br />All to 0-4 inches; brown (10YR5/3) channery loam, dazk grayish brown <br />(10YR4/2) moist; weak coarse subangulaz blocky structure, pazting <br />to moderate fine and medium granules; slightly hazd, very friable, <br />slightly sticky and nonplastic; common roots; 15 to 25 percent <br />coazse fragments; calcazeous, moderately alkaline; cleaz smooth <br />boundary (2 to 5 inches thick). <br />Type Location: The Blazon Series soils aze located in the NE'/. of the <br />SWY. of section 14, T.1N.R.94W., in Rio Blanco County, Colorado. <br />C~ <br />I-7 <br />
