INC. <br /> <br />3.0 RESULTS AND DISCUSSION <br />3.1 SOIL SERIES DESCRIPTIONS <br />3.1.1 Soil A, Ustic Torriorthents <br />Soil A is a deep soil formed on fans and footslopes from colluvial <br />materials derived from sandstones. <br />Taxonomic Class: Soil A soils aze frigid Ustic Torriorthents. <br />Typical Pedon: Soil A consists of fine, loamy-mixed, calcareous soils <br />with 30 to 60 percent slopes. <br />• Al 0-5 in; brown (10YR5/3) loam, dazk greyish brown (10YR4/2) moist; <br />moderate medium subangulaz blocky structure parting to weak fine <br />granulaz; friable; slightly sticky and slightly plastic; <br />non-calcazeous; few fine roots, clear smooth boundary. <br />C1 5-11 in; pale brown (10YR6/3) loam, brown-dazk brown (10YR4/2) <br />moist; moderate coazse blocky structure pazting to moderate <br />medium granular; firm; slightly sticky and slightly plastic; <br />calcazeous; few fine roots; cleaz wavy boundary. <br />C2 11-29 in; brown (10YR5/3) loam, dark grey brown (10YR4/2) moist; <br />moderate coazse blocky pazting to moderate medium granular; <br />firm; slightly sticky and slightly plastic; strongly calcazeous; few <br />fine roots; gradual smooth boundary. <br />C~ <br />I-6 <br />
